Waterproof GORE-TEX Upper
The upper is built from 100% recycled Cordura, a hard-wearing fabric that stands up to rocky trails and bad weather. Bonded directly to it is a GORE-TEX Invisible Fit membrane, which seals out water while still letting heat and moisture escape, keeping feet dry without the bulky feel of a traditional waterproof lining. A dynamic vamp gives the toes room to splay naturally for better stability over uneven ground, while toggle lacing lets you fine-tune the fit quickly, even when wearing gloves. Standard laces are included if you prefer a traditional setup. A heel pull tab makes the shoes easy to get on, a gaiter integration loop helps keep out dirt and debris, and 360-degree reflective details improve visibility in low light, keeping you out on the trail for longer.
SCF EVA Midsole
The supercritically foamed EVA used within the midsole provides great rebound and a plush, bouncy feel to your run. With a fine, consistent cellular structure, the SCF EVA protects the feet and joints from impact as you strike down over unforgiving surfaces. As the foam absorbs shock, that energy is returned into the following strides for added propulsion. The foam is also lightweight, keeping you light on your feet and motivated to go the extra mile.
Vibram Megagrip Outsole
This high-performance rubber compound offers outstanding grip on both dry and wet terrain. Vibram Megagrip is highly durable, so the Speedgoat 7 GTX will go the distance, and it gives you confidence in your footing and control over uneven trails with an optimal balance between stability and flexibility. 5mm traction lugs with an updated lug orientation provide better stability over mixed trails, biting into the ground to secure your footing.
